2012.02.12 @Insomnia Cafe (活動紀錄)
Dedicated our meeting this time to try to raise awareness and save the life of Yong Vui Kong who is on death row in Singapore. Thank you for everyone who showed up with faith they could save a life of a person they did not know, instead of all the times when people stay silent, that passivity then condoning death and slaughter.
No matter the reasons, institutionalized killings are unacceptable for the greater harm they inflict and the lessons that we teach the younger generation that killing is the answer and solution. Remember the times that we permit institutionalized killings by the State and how those turned out, often in some sort of -cide (genocide); perpetrators pardoned as they were simply "doing their job."
Thank you Amnesty International for providing us with so much material and support! Thank you to Give Life a 2nd Chance for their endless work with Yong Vui Kong and sending me detailed information! Thanks Frankie and Insomnia Cafe for their generosity in giving us a cozy space (great food & drinks) for freedom of speech and a platform for human rights!
